Monique, I’m very impressed. It’s always amazing to see how David Milch affects so many writers/actors. His tutelage is clearly evident in your scene here. Very few people can take an eight minute plus scene with an almost stage type situation and make it work. Well done!! David would be proud.

  2. Very moving work Monique – amazing how you made worlds of experience happen in one conversation in the front seat of a car… Both the dialogue and the acting are subtle and strong, timed well, and very engaging. It’s a great concept for a series, but so challenging – a great first piece that sets the bar high.

  4. Wow. Monique, i’m impressed. I didn’t know you did drama so well! this was so great. I really identify with the character, not because i’ve had any experience with trying to get pregnant, but because of the pressures and expectations of women in this society can be confusing and really out of balance …it’s slllllowly evolving. anyway, well done!

Great work on both the acting and the writing! I think that the family incident was a perfect segue into the conversation and I could easily imagine that someone on the outside of that situation could easily be so callous. This did an outstanding job of portraying the couple’s struggle and insecurities, as well as showing their strength and friendship. Great job!

  6. Wow, you are a multi talent, Monique! Your acting and writing in this short drama moved me. I forgot I was watching a performance I was so pulled in. Nice work and nice crew, music, everything. I’m proud of you 😀 Cheers!
